AudioThing has announced the release of its FilterJam, a free multi-band resonant filter effect plugin for both Windows and Mac.
Filterjam is a multi-band resonant filter which delivers weird ringmod-like filtered sounds. Its input signal is divided into 4 bands that are then summed or multiplied together according to the selected mode.

Filterjam can be very harsh or gentle. Using it, you can add brightness or depth to your synth sounds, but it can also completely mangle acoustic sources. The preset system comes with randomizer.
