Labelled as a serious tool for extreme distortion lovers, the free MBitFun effect plugin is now available at MeldaProduction as part of their MFreeEffectsBundle and MTotalBundle.
According to MeldaProduction’s presentation page, MBitFun “converts the audio into limited fixed-point precision from 1 single bit up to 16 bits per sample and lets you access each bit with several operations.”
The main features of MBitFun are a modern and resizable user interface, 4 multiparameters, smart randomization, MIDI controllers with MIDI learn and much more. It is available in VST/ AU/ AAX formats for PC and Mac.
The company has also announced MMultiBandBitFun, as the name says, a multiband version of the plugin, with six independent bands, four modulators and a low-pass filter. MMultiBandBitFun is commercially available for the introductory price of $27.
MBitFun is free and comes in an installer weighing circa 120MB (MFreeEffectsBundle).
