Rast Sound has announced the release of Mad Filter, a free filter effect plugin for DAWs on Windows and macOS.
According to its developers, Mad Filter is perfect to add movement and character to your sound. The plugin comes with state-of-the-art drive and filter circuits that sound warm, analog-like, and rich.
You can transition between different filter types (lpass, hpass, bpass, notch) to create unique movements. Mixing filter types in such a way is only available through Mad Filter. You can also click the small circles on top of each knob to trigger natural, complex LFO movements and further add playful randomization with the 2 levels “Go Mad” button.
Mad Filter is available in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and macOS. In order to download it for free, an account is required at Rast Sound.
