Initial Audio has announced the release of Clipper, a free soft clipper effect plugin for Windows and macOS.
Initial Clipper is a free soft clipper plugin that prevents your audio signal from going above zero decibels. It does this by smoothing the peaks with soft clipping starting from the threshold. The faster and higher the peaks the more you need to bring down the threshold to get a pleasing sound.
Initial Clipper comes with a very handy (and cool-looking) peak display. Any peaks that enter the threshold area will have soft clipping applied, hence smoothing them out and taming the loudness.
In order to download Initial Clipper for free, click the “Add to cart” button and then go to the checkout page. Once you have completed the registration, an account will be created for you. Then just click on “My Account” at the top and go to “My downloads”.
Initial Clipper is available as 64-bit VSt & AU plugin for DAWs on Windows and macOS.
Initial Audio has also launched their Black Sale, where you can save up to 75% off plugins and expansions throughout the month of November.
