Samples From Mars’ “Found Sounds From Mars” sample pack usually sold for $29, will be available free to anyone for a limited time.
Found Sound From Mars is a cool collection of acoustic foley/field recordings re-pitched on tape – over 650 24bit WAV samples.
The sample library contains percussive and ambient sounds in various natural environments – nature, on the street, indoors, in a studio – and with different materials – wood, glass, plastic, our body, etc.
Field recording experts Jonathan Hyde, Adam Newns & Simon Haines recorded vocals, rain hitting various objects, thunder, traffic, the ocean, vinyl, elevators, refrigerators, drill bursts, pepper grinder, toaster, metal pots, coins, plastic bins, metal gates, tree chops, twig snaps, water droplets, PVC pipes and more. The field recording setup was a Sennheiser 416, Sound Devices 302, into a Zoom H6. Using the excellent limiter on the Sound Devices allowed catching more of the releases on many of the impacts.
Besides the WAV samples, sampler instruments for Ableton Live 9, Kontakt, Logic and FL Studio are included. 1.25 GB (unzipped) of royalty-free audio material.
You can download the pack for free at Samples From Mars (limited time offer).
