Baby Audio has announced that its “Baby Comeback” delay effect plugin is now free to download for anyone.
This delay plugin was developed by BABY Audio and Computer Music Magazine. It offers a stripped-down version of BABY Audio’s commercial plugin Comeback Kid delay/echo plugin.
Baby Comeback features the same flexible delay engine as Comeback Kid, including the onboard ducker. Four style programs can be selected to shape the sound of the wet signal:
- Wide: A modern, clean and extra wide sounding delay
- Analog: A darker delay, reminiscent of vintage tape and bucket brigade echo units
- Saucey: Utilizes Comeback Kid’s stereo and flavoring tools for a wet and lush delay sound
- Cheap: A lofi delay sound inspired by 1980s rack units
The delay has a selector for straight, dotted, triplets, and free states, ping pong switch and time & feedback knobs. The output features a “ducker” selector, as well as dry and wet signal pass selectors.
