Splice has announced that Ableton Live 10 Lite digital audio workstation is free on their platform until December 31, 2020.
Live 10 Lite is a stripped-down version of Ableton Live 10 and has all of Live’s essential workflows, instruments and effects. The difference between the basic and full editions comes down to functionality; Ableton Live 10 Lite comes with a limited number of plugins, synths, effects and sounds, and limits you to 16 audio and MIDI tracks.
But still, it gets everything you need to record songs, create hands-on with your controller, take music made in your apps further and so much more. Especially if you’re a beginner either in music production in general or Ableton in particular, the Lite edition is very good to jump in.
Ableton Live 10 Lite is free on Splice until December 31, 2020. Keep in mind you must register your serial number to your Ableton User Account in order to authorize Live Lite. And of course, a Splice account is needed.
