Melda Production has announced the release of Monastery Grand, a free piano library expansion for its MSoundFactoryPlayer virtual instrument (freeware also).
Monastery Grand library features sounds captured from a grand piano in a monastery near Pilzen, Czech Republic.
There’s a treasure hidden in one of the monasteries near Pilsen, Czech beer capital – a beautiful stage piano in a concert hall with outstanding acoustics. We couldn’t resist and chose it as the first piano to sample to create a great instrument for MSoundFactory.
This virtual instrument has been designed with modern pop & rock production in mind, but it suits well to any music style.
16 stereo microphones were used; after several days of recording, it resulted in 50GB of sound data. Melda Production says that it took weeks to process and to choose the best sounding samples for the library exceeding 3GB.
The instrument features effects section such as Delay, Reverb, Compressor and Enhancer.
Here is a guide on how to install Monastery Grand.
Monastery Grand works with MSoundFactory, MSoundFactory LE and MSoundFactoryPlayer (freeware). The supported platforms are Windows (VST, VST3, AAX), macOS (VST, VST3, AU, AAX) and Linux (via Wine only).
