Spitfire Audio has announced the release of Music Box, a free sample library for their LABS virtual instrument for Windows and macOS.
Discover the bewitching sounds of two music boxes. One was made and performed by award-winning composer and artist Hannah Peel, and features on her score for HBO’s Game of Thrones: The Last Watch.
She made it by hand printing notations on paper with a hole puncher — the sound of the paper rolling through the box adds a beautiful texture. The other was sampled at Spitfire Studios on top of a piano, for extra resonance.
Music Box works within LABS, a freeware VST/AU/AAX plugin for both Windows and macOS. There are lots of other Spitfire Audio Labs instruments available on their website, all designed to sound great and unique. Once you create an account, you’ll have access to all the free libraries.
