Polyverse Music have teamed up with Infected Mushroom duo to release Wider, a free stereo width effect plugin for Windows and MacOS.
They describe Wider as a unique stereo effect which gives you the ability to expand the stereo image of any signal to an awe-inspiring amount of width. Wider takes the stereo section from its sibling, Manipulator, a commercial vocal transforming processor.
Wider is completely “mono-compatible”, meaning that any signal that has been extended will always remain in phase with itself, even if summed to mono. It can be used to increase the stereo image of any signal up to 200% of full stereo for an extra wide, exaggerated effect.

Wider is available in VST, AU, and AAX formats, and can be used in 32 or 64-bit instances with Windows XP and later and with MacOS X 10.6 and later. In order to download it, you will be prompted to add your full name and a valid email address.
