With the release of FL Studio 12.5.1, Mac users are closer to a full version: Image-Line has announced the native, 64-Bit, FL Studio macOS/OS X BETA is open for public testing.
This version doesn’t yet have all the features of the Windows version, but there are signs that in the very near future will be no differences. To see what still needs to be done, see this table.
Looking at the PC version, the 12.5.1 update brings a lot of new features as well as fixes. A complete list of what’s new in FL Studio 12.5.1 PC can be found at this link.
For those wondering if there will be a 13 version of FL Studio, the Image-Line company came up with a response that (maybe) surprised everyone. Now we know for sure that FL Studio 13 will not exist, instead, we will have FL Studio 20, numbered so because the DAW will be 20 years old in 2018. We don’t know if this is also related to superstitions, but let’s face it, we feel better now that we know this “infamous” number is skipped. After that, the versions will be numbered according to the age of the program, at the time of the major release.
