Mark Walter Releases WalterDelayer Free Stereo Splitter/Delayer Plugin

Mark Walter has announced the release of WalterDelayer, a free stereo splitter & signal “delayer” effect plugin for Windows.

There are two main characteristics of WalterDelayer. First, it splits the signal to left and right channels, allowing you to set the delay amount between them. You can delay the sound up to 1473 milliseconds. This feature is useful in various situations, let’s say, for example, you want to precisely align two audio loops or stems. Some creative uses are doubling the sound or creating a ping-pong effect. The second parameter is a “noize” slider, which adds… noise (d’oh!) useful for drum sounds such as percussions and of course, snares.

According to its author, WalterDelayer can be used to obtain a spectacular stereo effect for claps, snares and hats, but it can be used anywhere you think it might be useful.

The plugin is written in C++ and uses few system resources. It is available for Windows only, in both 32-bit and 64-bit VST formats. A Mac version is projected in the near future.

WalterDelayer can be downloaded for free via Mediafire (2.89MB ZIP containing the DLL’s).
