Permanent Beatz contacted us to announce their free hip hop sample packs they’ve made available on Soundcloud.
At this time, on their Soundcloud account are two sample packs – 404 Title Not Found and 22:55, both for hip hop and urban/pop music productions. The sounds range from drums, through instrument one-shots to Massive presets, Maschine groups/kits, MIDI’s and more. The range of sounds will expand soon, considering that a new pack is added every one or two weeks.
Here’s how it sounds:
From what I understand, these collections contain sounds taken from Permanent Beatz studio albums with the same name, the difference between the two current sample packs being that the second has sounds taken from an album which is about to be released in June, so you get a sort of preview of what it will contain. So it is useless to say that the sounds are 100% original.
For the sake of numbers, racking up the two sample packs, you get 61 drum samples, 8 basses, 38 instrument samples, 26 SFX, 51 found percussion samples, 6 vinyl sounds, 9 Massive presets, 7 Maschine groups/kits, 10 drum loops (WAV & MIDI), and 5 808 drum loops. Impressive, huh?
But even more impressive is the fact that guys from Permanent Beatz offer their packs completely free, which means you don’t have to fill any form, or to pass through a fan gate where you need to connect with your social accounts.
