U-he has announced on KVR the release of a beta version of its Podolski free virtual synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac systems.
Podolski is a simple, CPU-efficient virtual analogue synthesizer, a cut down version of FilterscapeVA. It is featuring just one oscillator, one filter, one envelope and two LFOs, and a Zebra-style arpeggiator/sequencer plus chorus and delay effects.
Podolski’s specialities are the Click parameter (emphasizes the filter attack) and its ability to seamlessly morph between three waveforms (WaveWarp).

The beta version which is presented on KVR Forums, has a re-written the VST3 code, as well as a suite of 100 new free presets designed by The Unshushable Coktor (TUC). The presets are in the bread-and-butter range, offering great starting points for your own sound design and experimentation.
Podolski VST3 is available for Mac (AAX/AU/VST2/VST3) and Windows (AAX/VST2/VST3). The downloads are instant via KVR (no registration required), and the installer contained comes with the other previous plugin versions too.
