Fairly Confusing Waveforms has announced the release of Beat Assembler, a free drum machine instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt.

The author wanted a drum machine in Kontakt, that wouldn’t be bound to 4/4 signature and standard time grid. Also he wanted to break with table based patterns and have visual presentation more like in a DAW.

Video demo:

The result is unique, Beat Assembler being a drum machine with sequencer, capable to generate automatic programs according to a preset scheme and a set of parameters.

Beat Assembler is available now as a free download via Fairly Confusing Waveforms (10MB RAR). It works with the full version of Kontakt 4 or above.
