One Small Clue has set free its Grace, a VST plugin sampler for Windows.
For those who have tons of one shot samples such as instrument hits, chords etc, this is a good news, you can now play them with your MIDI keyboard as an ordinary virtual instrument. Well, it requires some effort to achieve that, but with an intuitive interface, creating patches from your WAVs with Grace is a real pleasure.
You can further process your sounds with the integrated filters, 2 per voice (LP, BP, HP, comb, lo-fi & ring modulation), 2 AHDSR envelopes, 2 LFOs, 2 step sequencers and 4 XY control pads.
Video demo:
Grace has WAV, AIF and SND formats support, it imports SFZ patches and comes with an inbuilt browser with sample preview. The drag and drop sample loading is enabled in FL Studio.
Immediately after install, you can enjoy the included patch library provided by WaveShaper – 54 original patches rich with vintage synth character. All patches use samples captured from a collection of analog synths and drum machines. I simply love the drum kit patches!
Grace is a VST 2.4 plugin (32-bit and 64-bit versions) for Windows. Download size is 11.4MB (the sampler) plus 280MB (the patches).
