Samplephonics has announced the release of Smashed Analogue Kit, a free sample library featuring WAV files and sampler patches.

The freebie contains a huge set of live drum samples, recorded through a vintage Neve desk and processed using a tonne of analogue distortion boxes, broken mixer channels and inside out boom boxes. That’s why the samples have a vintage flavor, making them perfect for downtempo but also for solid and rhythmic breakbeat patterns.

The result is a creamy, full fat virtual drum kit sample library, pre loaded into your favourite sampler with multiple round robins and velocity layers, plus 4 different mix options for total flexibility. Don’t even ask us why we gave this one away for free, we’re still asking ourselves this very question. We must love you too much!

Audio demo:

Smashed Analogue Kit comes as a 997.4MB collection of 24-bit WAV files as well as sampler patches for Kontakt, Ableton, SFZ, EXS24, NNXT, MachFive and Halion.

Smashed Analogue Kit is available for registered users at Samplephonics; registration is also free.
