Adam Smith has released String Theory Ambient– a free soundbank for the classic String Theory- free VST instrument by Ugo Audio. String Theory is a flexible, delay based, physical modeling synth which is capable of a very wide range of plucked strings, atmospheric pads and ambiences, and unique hybrid synth sounds.
String Theory Ambient is an eploration of outer edge of what String Theory is capable of. With particular reference to my own specific tastes in terms of IDM, Film Soundtracks and Chillout. String Theory is a very unusual synth with an organic quality and slightly raw quality that allows for the development of anything from delicate mellow textures to raw edgy soundscapes through to mechanical fx with a highly digital edge.
