Erkan Dogantimur released a free sample pack containing 615 cymbal samples in 24 Bit WAV format.
During the summer of 2008, I recorded a lot of cymbals in my rehearsal room. I recorded them using an AKG Perception 100 which I borrowed from a friend, into the preamps of a Mackie VLZ1402 mixer and then into an M-Audio Delta1010LT. Perhaps not the most expensive recording chain but that was what I had back then (moved up to an M-Audio Profire2626 now, yippi!).
Anyway, I edited the samples and chopped them up and ended up with around 600 different cymbal samples and now I am sharing them with everyone.Â
The collection is split in 26 folders each of which featuring sounds recorded from different cymbals like Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste etc.
All samples are royalty free, you’re not allowed to redistribute or sell them. Enjoy!
