Algo-Rhythms: Uber Sleek Electro Percussion is a collection of unusual and original synthetic drum and percussion loops & grooves. It was painstakingly created by Studio Wormbone, in his state-of-art studio located in a quiet and inspiring forest outside the Emerald City of Seattle Washington, USA.
These are white hot patterns, conceived in the depths of the slickest studio hardware and software available, and infused with ingeniously advanced programming. The sounds in these data designs are the brainchild of machine construction and creative finesse. They vary from velvety plush non-linear and organically modulated layers, to forcefully hard-hitting, ultra-modern drum assaults. Â

If we want to talk about Algo-Rhythms: Uber Sleek Electro Percussion, then we have to use uninvented words. Because this pack is not for everybody, it is only for those who think of music like a mom to his child. What can you expect from a man who feeds birds between two music sessions? Studio Wormbone, yes, is located in a forest far away from the bad city and stupid MTV.
Imagination? Let’s start with loop names… Did you ever have a loop called ‘Meta Iteration Twang’? Or ‘Robot Jargon’, ‘Dominant Shades’? Same creativity is applied also on the sound design. Percussions created with clicks, vocals, drum hits, with synth sounds that usually I ignore and label as unuseful. Next homework for me: open your mind!
The collection is split in 3 folders- downtempo, midtempo and uptempo plus a bonus folder. Most of the sounds are atonal, being easy to fit them in your mixes. But musical ear is still required :)
Formats provided are WAV/AIF/REX in 24-Bit/44.1kHz resolution, and are of course Royalty-Free. The BPM and key (for any tonal files) are listed in the file name where appropriate. This sound pack is ideal for many genres of electronica or film/TV/game soundtracks in need of cutting-edge savvy layers.
For only £9.75 you get 383 synth drum/ percussion loops. Sounds great but let’s not concentrate on quantity, but quality- and this price is more than decent!
I am so happy I had the chance to test this pack, it turns out to be one of the best I have. My wife is happier.
